After winning the toss Sri Lanka decided to bowl first as they have troubled Australian batting order in past two Odis,Warner was first to go for Australia as they losses him when Australia were on 31 runs,this time also Australia batting order looked troubled by Sri Lanka's bowling.

But day belongs to the Australia batsman Phillip Hughes as he scores not out 138 runs innings for his team and that's why Australia manages the score of 247 runs and it was required by Sri Lanka's to score 248 runs for series win.

Chasing 248 runs Sri Lanka got steady start as both openers stayed till 11 overs but Dilshan was not lokkig comfortable Mahela was first to go on the score of 57 runs after him,unexperience of Sri Lanka'n middle order was enough for them to loss this match

Captain of Sri Lanka Mathews tried his best but it was not enough because at other side wickets were going in regular interval he scored 67 runs,Sri Lanka loss this match by 32 runs for  Australia,Doherty and Henriques took 3 wickets each. But the star of the day was Phillip Hughes as he was declared as "MAN OF THE MATCH",Australia finally able to level the ODI series.
