On the Opening ceremony of IPL-6 pitbull truly rock the stage,along with him Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif perform at the IPL opening ceremony. It was held at kolkata’s salt lake stadium.
Earlier in the evening, the nine captains of the IPL signed the ICC Spirit of Cricket document an annual pledge captains make at the IPL. Some live up to it, some don’t.The evening, which was divided into six segments, began with Shah Rukh doing a poetic rendition of Rabindra Sangeet Aguner Paroshmani with the ‘Where the mind is without fear’ being played in the background.
The show came to an end with Pitbull making the audience groove to some of his peppy numbers which included his ‘Let’s start the party’.At the start of the show, there was an act called ‘Poetry in Motion’ during which 300 dancers lit up the evening with gala performance to Pritam’s music. Hundreds of drummers then flew in an acrobatic act. There were about 120 performers from across the world, including 19 Red Poppy artists and a band of Chinese percussionists, who brought the crowd to its feet with their performances.
A huge balloon with the T20-League logo embossed on it went up into the air along with nine other balloons (read planets), which represented the franchises.
